Cordon Blue Burgers

Ingredients:
   
1¾ pounds    ground beef   
1/2 cup    bread crumbs   
1 cup    healthy request creamed mushroom soup   
1/2 cup    diced onions   
2 teaspoons    minced garlic   
2 large    eggs   
6 slices    Swiss cheese   
6 slices    ham   
 
Directions:
 
1. In a large bowl place
2. 1¾ cup ground beef
3. 1/2 cup bread crumbs
4. 1 cup healthy request mushroom soup
5. ½ cup diced onions
6. 2 large eggs
7. 2 teaspoons garlic
8. 1 teaspoon salt & Pepper or to taste
9. Mix well.
10. Shape into 12 thin burgers patties
11. On 6 of the patties put 1 slice of Swiss cheese & 1 slice of ham.
NOTE: you may have to tuck the corners of the cheese & ham up to the center of the burger to keep it from hanging out when you seal the two together
12. Cover with the other 6 patties and press firmly around the edges to seal completely.
13. Place into a large pan & cover
14. Take home 6 brioche buns or burger buns 

Cooking directions:

Thaw burgers.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake burgers for 45 minutes or until done to your liking.
Broiler- Set broiler to high and broil burgers 4-5 inches from the flame. Broil 6-6 minutes on each side or until done to your liking. Skillet-Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Place burgers into the preheat skillet and brown on both side. Cover the skillet and cook burgers to your liking.
Grill: grill burgers on a preheat grill. Grill approximately 7-8 minutes on each side or until done to your liking. Serve with slices of tomatoes, onions & your favorite condiments.
Due to differences in ovens & grill cooking times will vary. If your entree is partially thawed or frozen additional cooking times will be needed.
